Ruby Crunch Chili Crisp Glazed Ham

This recipe follows the classic combination of sweet and savory… but with a twist. Ruby Crunch Chili Crisp brings flavor and texture for the perfect holiday ham.

 

PREP TIME: 5 minutes   |   COOK TIME: 45 minutes   |   TOTAL TIME: 50 minutes

Serves: 6 – 8 servings

 

Ingredients

·         2-pound boneless ham

·         1/4 cup honey

·         3 tablespoons Ruby Crunch Chili Crisp

·         2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

·         1 tablespoon brown sugar

·         1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger

·         Orange wedges and parsley (optional)

 

Instructions

1.      Preheat oven to 325° F.

2.      If the ham is not scored, score it a 1/4 inch deep in a grid pattern.

3.      Place the ham in a baking dish, add 1/2 inch of water to the base, cover tightly with foil and cook for 30 minutes until it is warmed through.

4.      Meanwhile, combine the rest of the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a low boil, then reduce heat, and simmer until the sauce has thickened and reduced in half. Remove from heat.

5.      Remove the ham from the oven. Increase the temperature to 425 ° F.

6.      Transfer the ham to a parchment lined baking tray, or alternatively, remove all the water from the original baking dish.

7.      Coat the ham with the glaze, making sure to get it all over, in the grooves and cracks. Return to the oven uncovered for 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reac

8.      Optional: return the ham to oven under the broiler for another 5 minutes to caramelize the glaze. Be sure to watch closely so it does not burn.

9.       Garnish with orange wedges and parsley.
